Director, 1993-2000

    Responsibilities included leadership for the development of the School and its academic
    programs, including the Master of Library and Information Studies degree program
    delivered at the Norman campus, in Tulsa, and to additional locations throughout Oklahoma
    (Alva, Ardmore, Chickasha, Durant, Enid, Lawton, and Weatherford)  through use of
    interactive video; dual master's degree programs with History of Science and the College of
    Education; the Certificate of Advanced Study program; and undergraduate and graduate
    service courses.  Facilitation of the work of the faculty of nine in research and teaching.
    General administration of the School and coordination of the School's activities and relationships
    with the College of Arts and Sciences, other units of the College, the Graduate College, and
    other areas of the University.  Management of personnel and fiscal resources; development of
    external funding sources, including preparation of proposals and administration of grants; budget
    preparation. Representation of the School to various internal and external constituencies, including
    the information professional community.
