Dr. Forrest Rodgers - OU PhD 2012 - is recipient of the 2019 Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences Teaching Award


Dr. Forrest Rodgers - who earned his PhD from OU Sociology in 2012 -  is the recipient of this year’s Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences’ Ken Peak Innovation in Teaching Award. The Ken Peak award is given in recognition of innovative teaching methods among criminal justice and criminology faculty members.  Dr. Rodgers currently is a tenure track assistant professor at Salem State University and his research focuses on public opinion on the death penalty and assessing college student attitudes towards race, crime, and the criminal justice system. Dr. Rodgers has taugh Race Relations, Trends and Issues in IncarcerationSociology of Diversity, Racial Minorities in Criminal Justice, Bias Crimes, and many other course offerings.
