Congratulations to Tiffanie Vo, OU Sociology junior, who has been crowned Miss Asian OU 2019. The Mr. & Miss Asian OU Scholarship Pageant is sponsored and organized by the Asian American Student Association. Tiffanie's platform is called Write Your Story, which aims to publicize the histories and stories of Asian American refugees coming to America in Oklahoma. Through this, she hopes to inspire younger generations to start conversations with their families and embrace their cultural heritage.
Tiffanie will be a featured speaker at the Sociology Lawn Party and Awards Ceremony to take place at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3 on the quad side of Kaufman Hall.
