Faculty are encouraged to discuss their ideas for study abroad course/program proposals at any time by setting an appointment with Karen Elmore, Director of Arts and Sciences International Programs. We also encourage faculty to attend the “Faculty 101” session in Education Abroad held in the spring term on February 12 at 3:30.

To help faculty understand what types of proposals and which destinations would receive the most positive response, those considering submitting a proposal should set up an appointment well in advance of the spring submission deadline. BEFORE March 12, please contact Karen Elmore for these meetings. AFTER March 12, please contact Rhonda Dean-Kyncl for these meetings.

The proposal form, a preliminary syllabus and a justification for the proposed location are required.

Deadlines for Summer 2019 Proposals

  • March 12, 2018 - Preliminary Deadline
    • In order to ensure input from Karen Elmore, we have set a preliminary deadline that pre-dates her retirement. IF however, faculty have other proposals later that month, the college will review them as well, with a “hard deadline” of April 30, 2018.
  • April 30, 2018 - Deadline
