Textbook Web Site: This link will connect you directly to the publisher's web site for Genetics: From Genes to Genomes. As stated in the preface, this site contains tutorials, interactive exercises, flashcards, web links, etc. to help you prepare for examinations and to provide supplementary information to the material in the text.
National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI): This is an important research tool used by geneticists and molecular biologists. It is a repository for DNA sequence information for all organisms. It contains software and supercomputing facilities for analyzing DNA and protein sequences as well as programs for 3-D modelling of molecular interactions. The NCBI online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM) is a database that provides information on the diagnosis and management of inherited disease; if known, data on the mapping and molecular biology of the disease process are also provided.
