Research Interests and Subject Areas Available for Graduate Research
This laboratory is involved in the following research problems:
1. Characterization of the hormonal and growth factor control of molting
and regeneration in the fiddler crab, Uca pugilator.
2. Expression patterns of receptor genes that bind hormones and other
ligands and belong to the superfamily of nuclear receptors.
3. Characterization of metabolic pathways for metabolism of invertebrate
steroids (the ecdysteroids) in the crab.
