Current Research Interests
While no longer a regular faculty member and no longer accepting new graduate students, I continue to analyze and write concerning research projects involving field studies of birds, mammals, and beetles. Projects employ a number of techniques and approaches, including multivariate statistical techniques, field surveys, and geographic information systems (GIS).
Mammal studies include a long-term study of distributions and ecology of mammals of Colima, Mexico. I also have been engaged in long-term population and ecology studies of the American burying beetle, a federally listed endangered species.
