Learn to write professional quality software for specialized applications in biological research.  No prior knowledge required.  Starting from the beginning, we will learn the C++ programming language.  Students will use the C++ language to develop a simple simulation of some biological system in their area of interest (ecological, evolutionary, physiological, neural, etc.).  Next we will learn to use Visual C++ to build a professional interface to the simulation, using dialog windows, graphic displays, and access to data on disk.
