The Classical Archaeology Society (CLAS) Dr. Stanley also founded and heads the OU Center for Classical Archaeology and Civilizations (CCAC). Together, the CCAC and the CLAS are dedicated to advancing students’ interests in the classical world, and we organize many exciting events that provide forums for intellectual discussions and the exchange of ideas about topics of classical history, culture, and, of course, archaeology. We thank everyone who works with us to achieve this! New on the site:

founded in 2004 under the leadership of Dr. Farland Stanley, Professor
of Classics here at OU. Our goal is to provide opportunities for students
to learn more about classical archaeology and to promote the study of
the field. We would not be able to do this if not for the unfailing
energy and devotion of our office
