Education

University of Oklahoma
    Ph.D. French Literature, 2001
    Specialization in Medieval French Literature
Co-Directors: Drs. Keith Busby and Pamela Genova

Dissertation: In my text, "A Comparative Study of the Three French Versions in Verse of Barlaam et
et Josaphaz," I examine the versions of Gui de Cambrai, the Anglo-Norman poet Chardri, and the anonymous
author in turn, analyzing their relation to the source material, detailing their salient themes, and exploring
the language employed in an attempt to ascertain whether the story truly falls under the rubric of Hagiography
or should be more properly considered as a Romance.
