Pytest:
A Nuclear Medicine Procedure

The PyTest is a nuclear medicine procedure that assists in the diagnosis of Helicobacter Pylori, the bacteria present in individuals who suffer from peptic and duodenal ulcers.  If the bacteria is present, the patient's physician can prescribe antibodies to eliminate the bacteria and heal the ulcer(s).  Nuclear medicine technologists must be knowledgeable with this procedure and its specifics in order to perform the ordered exam.  This module guides nuclear medicine students through the PyTest and its features so the student can one day apply their knowledge in the nuclear medicine department.

This online computer course provides the learner with the knowledge to evaluate and analyze the basics for logical reasoning of deductive arguments and the common associated fallacies of such reasoning.  The audience is undergraduate college students familiar with computer assisted instruction.  Along with an interest in the fallacies of logical reasoning, students should possess the desire to evaluate and analyze these principles.

This instructional unit provides learners with the opportunity to identify, examine, and analyze the unique features, which contributed to the settlement of the state of Oklahoma. Instruction will develop map skills in locating places in Oklahoma and the United States using parallels of latitude and meridians of longitude. Learners will examine communities from a spatial perspective using mental mapping to understand relative location. Learners will examine and describe the interaction of the environment and the people of Oklahoma. Learners will compare and contrast different natural resources and landforms in their local region with other regions of Oklahoma.

Integrating a Multicultural Dimension into Elementary Instruction:
Use of the Abacus in the Math Curriculum

This project provides online instruction regarding use of the abacus as a mathematical tool to perform the four basic mathematical calculations;
addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The course also provides a historical examination of the cultural backgrounds of populations that have used the abacus and how to integrate this content into the elementary classroom.

Are Your Civil Liberties in Peril?

This instructional unit provides learners with the opportunity to examine and analyze the first ten Amendments to the U.S. Constitution known as the Bill of Rights as they are applied in times of national crisis. Learners will study real-life scenarios, identify the applicable Amendment or Amendments, compare and contrast the elements of the given situation, and explain their position.
