Pytest: A Nuclear Medicine Procedure Vesper Grantham, |
The PyTest is a nuclear medicine procedure
that assists in the diagnosis of Helicobacter Pylori, the bacteria present
in individuals who suffer from peptic and duodenal ulcers. If the bacteria
is present, the patient's physician can prescribe antibodies to eliminate
the bacteria and heal the ulcer(s). Nuclear medicine technologists
must be knowledgeable with this procedure and its specifics in order to perform
the ordered exam. This module guides nuclear medicine students through
the PyTest and its features so the student can one day apply their knowledge
in the nuclear medicine department. |
