		Residential:
			8" riser max.
			9" treads min.
			2'-8" min. width
			6'-6" min. headroom
		Commercial:
			7.5" riser max.
			10" treads min.
			or
			7" riser max.
			11" treads min.
			(2 x riser) + tread = 24 to 25 inches
			3'-0" wide OL = < 50
			3'-8" wide Occupancy Load > 50
			1.5" min. clearance from wall
			1.25 - 2" wide handgrip section
			6'-8" min. headroom
			3.5" max. projection of handrail into required width of landing
			6" min. extension of handrail on top and buttom of stair.
			12' max. vertical distance between landings
			landing = width of stair
			landing = 4' max.
		Spiral Stairs:	
			6" min. width on spiral stairs
			full width 12" from narrow end
			serve 400 sq.ft. max.
	Concrete stair = one way inclined slab
			with steps sitting on top
	simple beam
		when constructed after wall and floor support
	continuous beam
		when poured with wall and floor supports
	edge of  stair slab turned up
		to form a curb for railing
	1.5" min. support on concrete wall
	4" min. support on masonry wall
	stair slab thickness estimate = span / 26
	concrete beam support
		under start of stair
	# 3 nose bar
	1/2" radius max. on nose
	1.5" max. toe clearance
	Nosing:
		cast nosing with abrasive finish
		metal, rubber or vinyl nosing
		with serrated surface
		stone tread 
		with abrasive strips
