Winter ...

As the gentle pale snow shifts to the Earth
Nature is once again reminded of Winter's cold embrace
It is not one of hate or spite killing the Fall
but one of love giving new life to cold December
Each snowflake and breath of cold icy wind revitalizes
the dormant kindred spirit of vigor
The rebirth of Nature's fourth season marks
the return to purity so near to Christ's birthday
The snow blankets the earth to hush the maddening world
Quiet, serene and lucid the world is made to
Listen to the lone cry of a proffesed power in Nature
Earth stands to be swayed in every season
Yet winter reflects the memories of the past
through its quiet meditation on long mornings
The serene yearnings to return to yesteryear
is immensely profound in the late evening of this magical season
It entraps the weary head into fantasy long ago forgotten
Winter slowly fades in and out of every late night dream
Winter embellishes the once long forgotten
                 yearnings of the sleeping dreamer.
