Creating a Target

Netscape uses what is called a Target to "create a Link" within a Web Page.

You probably have seen Web Pages that have links to other specific parts..., of the same Page.

For Example..., the WebStudy Lesson Plan uses Targets to allow you to "click-on" (for example) Lesson 11..., and "drop down" in the Page Text to the Lesson 11 Outline.

To create a Target...,

From the Netscape Editor Toolbar..., "click-on" the Target Icon.

The Target Properties Dialog Box will "pop-up"

The Target Symbol is just to the left of the Lesson 11 Header.
Shown (below) is a portion of the WebStudy Lesson Plan Outline.

The Image (below) is a .gif Image of a portion of the Lesson Plan as shown in the Netscape Editor!

Note: the Target is only visible in the Netscape Editor Window!

YES..., it is possible to Link to Targets in the "same" Web Page and in "other" Web Pages!
