SMARTS Transcripts:

1. Navy active duty, reserve, and veterans who have separated since January 1975; and Marine Corps active duty, reserve, and veterans who have separated since October 1, 1990 — submit a Sailor/Marine/Ace Registry Transcript (SMART). SMART transcripts can be ordered through your local Navy College Office or Marine Corps Education Center. 2. Navy active duty, reserve, and veterans who were separated before January 1975; and Marine Corps active duty, reserve, and veterans who were separated before October 1990 — submit a DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, and certificates of completion for all service schools attended.
   
3. DD Form 295. If you are not able to obtain one of the transcripts listed above, active duty personnel should submit a DD Form 295, Application for the Evaluation of Learning Experiences During Military Service.
   
4. DANTES — Students may also request a transcript from DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support) or USAFI (United States Armed Forces Institute -- tests taken prior to July 1, 1979). Many tests taken under the auspices of DANTES carry American Council on Education credit recommendations recognized by the University. Official DANTES transcripts may be ordered from Thomson Prometric, P.O. Box 6604, Princeton, NJ 08451-6604. Official USAFI transcripts may be obtained from Thomson Prometric, P.O. SMART Electronic request:

1. Log into SMART https://smart.navy.mil/smart/
   
2. After logging in, click the "Transcripts" link at the top of the page, then click the "Official Transcript Request" link.
   
3. Type in the school name or partial name of the academic institution and click "search". Example: Instead of typing out The University of Oklahoma, you can just type Oklahoma and all Oklahoma schools will come up.
   
   QUICK TIP: Do not use any punctuation when typing in the name of an academic institution. Academic Institutions are NOT listed in our database with the hyphens, so you would receive a 'no matches found' to a query that included the hyphen.
   
   
4. All locations of your selected academic institution in the database will populate the screen. Select the campus you want your transcript sent to by clicking on the hyperlink for that location. You may need to scroll through the entire list to ensure you have the correct location. The correct location for the College of Liberal Studies is:

5. This will bring you to a page that will show your name, rate/rank, etc., and the academic institution name and address you selected on the previous screen. You will be asked if this is the institution you wish to have a transcript sent. Note: Transcripts that have to be mailed are limited to two transcripts per 30-day period, whereas an unlimited amount can be ordered for academic institutions that receive Web-only delivery.
   
   If the location is correct, you will need to click the box at the bottom stating you have read and agree with the consent statement, and then click "yes". You will receive a confirmation page stating the request has been completed.
   
   If the location is incorrect, click "no" at the bottom of the page and you will return to the list of campuses to allow you to select the correct location.
   
   You can see a history of where transcripts were sent and when they were ordered by clicking on the "Official Transcript Request History" tab.

SOC Evaluation:

1. Complete the SOC Evaluation Request Form
2. Submit your official military (SMART) transcript. You may request your SMART from online at https://www.navycollege.navy.mil/smart_info.cfm, by email ncc@cnet.navy.mil or, call toll free at (877) 253-7122
   
3. Submit your official college transcripts from other colleges attended (if applicable). Transcript requests must be made from the college where the course(s) were taken and according to that college’s transcript procedures.
   
4. Submit CLEP/DANTES, DSST test score report. (if applicable)
