Getting Started in the BA LS Program

Online/Onsite Students

Activate your OUNet Account:

  1. Visit: http://password.ou.edu/
  2. Click on “New Users: Activate your account here.” in the gray box to the right
  3. Follow the instructions to activate your account, retrieve your OU ID # and OUNet ID, and set up your password

Access your OU Email:

  1. Visit: http://exchange.ou.edu/
  2. Enter your OUNet ID (4+4, first four of your last name + last four of your OU ID #) and the password you created when activating your OUNet account

You should have a welcome email from your advisor with an attached graduation plan. If you do not, please contact your advisor using the contact information provided below.

Enroll in courses:
Step 1:

  1. Visit: http://enroll.ou.edu/
  2. Enter your OUNet ID (4+4) and password
  3. Select “Liberal Studies” from the Campus dropdown menu
  4. Select the semester you wish to enroll in from the Semester dropdown menu
  5. Click on “Student Login”

Step 2:

  1. Select “LSTD” from the Dept. dropdown menu at the top of the page
  2. Select “undergraduate, lower div, or upper div” from the Course Level dropdown menu
  3. Select “Open or All courses” from the Status dropdown menu

This should pull up a list of courses available for the semester.

Step 3:

  1. Consult your graduation plan and decide which courses you wish to enroll in
  2. Click “add” to enroll a course – the course should appear in your schedule
  3. Click” “search” to return to the course listings and continue adding the rest of your courses
  4. Finalize your schedule by selecting “Finalize Enrollment” and confirming your enrollment

In the fall and spring, there is an early 8-week session and a mid 8-week session each semester. To avoid overloading in a session, pay attention to the start and end dates while enrolling in courses.

If a class if full, you may be able to enroll in the class by contacting your advisor.
