Nina Livesey, Ph.D. - CLS Faculty Member
In the spring of 2006, while living in Paris, France, Nina received in e-mail from CLS. Would she be willing to teach a class? She replied, “Yes! And by the way, I am in Paris, France.” Fortunately, CLS agreed to give this newer concept in distance learning a try, and despite the seven-hour time difference, things worked out smoothly. Nina could work in what was the middle of the night for her students, so by the time they started their day, they had answers to their questions and new assignments to work on. Nina teaches half-time for CLS and half-time for the College of Arts and Sciences. Nina said she enjoys working with CLS students because she too returned to school later in life for graduate school. She earned her master’s degree in theological studies from Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa and her Ph.D. in biblical studies from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
