Russ Tresner - Assistant Master’s Programs Coordinator and Military Coordinator
Russ coordinates academic advising activities for CLS graduate students. He plans, directs and implements special programs; assists in the formulation, interpretation and evaluation of advising programs, policies and procedures; serves as liaison with advising personnel from other colleges and universities; assists with annual assessment and college reports; provides leadership in professional advising activities at the local, state and national levels; authorizes the posting of degrees; and conducts training and evaluating of professional and clerical staff.
He has worked in education administration/advising since 1994, and he’s been at OU since 2004.
Russ earned an associate of applied science in police science from the Community College of the Air Force in 1980. He received a B.S. in management of technical operations with a minor in psychology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1996. In 1998, he earned a master of aeronautical science, management, also from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Russ retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant with 26 years in the security police career field.
