You must apply for Graduation in order to receive your degree. You may access your online graduation application by logging into oZONE and clicking on the Graduate a Sooner Channel under the Home Tab.

Accommodation for Disability
Graduates or guests who require accommodations on the basis of disability should contact Missy Mitchell at (405) 325-1061. For more information on accomodations, please refer to the Disability Resource Center.

Graduation packets will be mailed to all students who have applied for graduation. Candidates may confirm an application by contacting the Admissions and Records Office at (405) 325-4147 and asking for the Records Department.

Graduation Gear-Up is held every fall and spring semester on the Norman campus and each spring semester on the OUHSC and Tulsa campuses. Graduation Gear-Up provides the opportunity for graduation candidates to take care of all of their needs pertaining to participation in graduation ceremonies and preparation for life after graduation in one place.
Graduation Candidates can purchase their cap and gown, announcements, and class rings as well as obtain information about Convocation, other graduation ceremonies, and making the transition from student to graduate. 5:45 p.m. Line up behind the CLS Banner. Graduate candidates line up directly behind the Banner Carrier with Undergraduate candidates lining up behind the Graduates.
6 p.m. Processional begins
Parking: Available (free) in the adjacent Elm Street Parking Garage
Students and guests attending the University of Oklahoma’s CLS Convocation ceremony are asked to leave behind certain items that are prohibited because of security or facility regulations.
Except for items pertaining to medical conditions or child care, all bags, backpacks, large cases for binoculars or other items, fanny packs and large purses (larger than 10-inch-by-10-inch) are prohibited. Prohibited items must be returned to the owner’s car or discarded, and any unlawful items are subject to confiscation.
Other prohibited items include:
- alcoholic and other beverages
- banners and signs
- beach balls
- fanny packs
- food and beverages
- folding chairs or stools
- Glitter (Do NOT add glitter to anything you bring into the building, including graduation caps or posters.)
- ice chests, coolers and other similar containers
- laser pointers
- all noise makers (e.g., air horns, whistles)
- pets (other than service animals)
Items that are allowed for Convocations only include cameras and video cameras, baby strollers and baby seats.
Tickets are not required to attend Convocation or Commencement. The College of Liberal Studies would like our graduates to share this special occasion with all of your family and friends.
