Courtney Vaughn, Ed.D.

Courtney Vaughn (Ed.D. Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma, 1980) is Full Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Oklahoma. She has produced three co-authored books: City in the Osage Hills; Women With Vision; and An Introduction to Educational Research.  Other works include book chapters in Advances in Psychological Research, Frank Columbus (Ed.), History of Women in The United States: Professional and White Collar Employments, Nancy Cott (Ed.), and The Teacher’s Voice: A Qualitative Analysis of Teaching in Twentieth-Century America, Richard Altenbaugh (Ed.).  Her numerous articles have appeared in journals such as Focus On Learning Problems In Mathematics, Academy of Educational Leadership Journal, American Educational History Journal, Educational Foundations, The School Community Journal, Adolescence, Journal of the Midwest History of Education Society, NASSP Bulletin, Initiatives, Women in Management Review, The Urban Review, Great Plains Quarterly, Urban Education, Pacific Historical Review, History of Higher Education Annual, The Journal of Research in Childhood Education, Issues in Education, and The Journal of Negro Education.
