Graduate Degrees Offered by the College of Liberal Studies
The College of Liberal Studies is a fully accredited, academic division of the University of Oklahoma. For our students, this means that while they may not be able to attend classes on the OU campus, they will still be able to learn from our distinguished OU faculty and the unique life experiences of their adult classmates participating from locations around the world.
The College of Liberal Studies offers four Master's degrees that help adult learners obtain the graduate level education they need to thrive within the context of creative and flexible thinking that today's employers value.
Master of Arts in Administrative Leadership
In this master’s program, the combination of specific, work-related principles with the foundation of a liberal education allows you to approach new ideas, projects and challenges by drawing upon multiple perspectives.
The Master of Arts in Human and Health Services Administration
This graduate degree program provides a broad-based perspective of the healthcare and human service delivery systems and is intended to serve as a mechanism for professional advancement. Students selecting this option must have prior training and/or work history in an applicable area for job entry.
Master of Arts in Museum Studies
The museum studies graduate program prepares you to meet the challenges involved in museum operation. Courses address museum management procedures, budget administration, exhibit and educational programming, and community interaction.
Master of Prevention Science
The curriculum for this master’s degree program is specifically designed to provide an academic preparation for individuals interested in pursuing the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium’s Certified Prevention Specialist (IC & RC CPS) credential.
Master of Science in Criminal Justice
In this master’s program, students learn from practitioner-scholars who combine real world experience with theoretical knowledge. There is also an emphasis on student-centered orientation, whereby the lessons can be made relevant to the student’s context.
