Steps to get started:
You should contact your Education Service Office at your duty location for assistance in getting started in the Army Education System. If you are ready to begin with the University of Oklahoma, College of Liberal Studies you can access our application forms at:

You will also need to go to GoArmyEd and apply for your Tuition Assistance through the Army by submitting your Common Application listing OU/CLS as your home school. If you have questions about logging on to GoArmyEd, contact your local Education Services Officer.

What is GoArmyEd?
GoArmyEd is the virtual gateway for Soldiers on active duty to request Tuition Assistance (TA) online, anytime for classroom, distance learning, and eArmyU online college courses.

GoArmyEd is a dynamic online portal that automates many of the paper-based processes you historically conducted with your Army Education Counselor.

AARTS Transcript:

  1. Army personnel and veterans who entered active duty or reserve personnel starting on or after October 1, 1981 — submit an Army/American Council on Education Registry Transcript (AARTS). AARTS transcripts can be ordered by contacting the AARTS Office, Ft. Leavenworth, KS 66027-5010. You may also call 1-866-297-4427 or visit their Web site: http://aarts.army.mil/.
  2. Army veterans who entered active duty or reserve prior to October 1, 1981 — submit a DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, and certificates of completion for all service schools attended.
  3. DD Form 295. If you are not able to obtain one of the transcripts listed above, active duty personnel should submit a DD Form 295, Application for the Evaluation of Learning Experiences During Military Service.
  4. DANTES — Students may also request a transcript from DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support) or USAFI (United States Armed Forces Institute -- tests taken prior to July 1, 1979). Many tests taken under the auspices of DANTES carry American Council on Education credit recommendations recognized by the University. Official DANTES transcripts may be ordered from Thomson Prometric, P.O. Box 6604, Princeton, NJ 08451-6604. Official USAFI transcripts may be obtained from Thomson Prometric, P.O. SOC Evaluation:

  1. Complete the SOC Evaluation Request Form provided here SOC
  2. Submit your official military (AART) transcript. See above on ordering your transcript.
  3. Submit your official college transcripts from other colleges attended (if applicable). Transcript requests must be made from the college where the course(s) were taken and according to that college’s transcript procedures.
  4. Submit CLEP/DANTES, DSST test score report. (if applicable)
  5. Mail all of the above official documents to:
