CLS Admissions and Recruitment Specialist Jeff Roby recently returned from Albuquerque, N.M., where he attended the 10th annual Native Women’s and Men’s Health and Wellness Conference.

This event is the largest comprehensive wellness conference for native and indigenous people throughout North America. It provides personal and professional development to inform and inspire tribal leaders, health advocates and best practices for healthy living.

The OU College of Liberal Studies exhibits with the American Indian Institute to promote its Master of Prevention Science and other degree programs.

“I spoke with a little over 300 people who had no idea that OU had online degree programs,” Jeff said. “Plus, some of the educators attending work in the prevention field and were ecstatic to hear our prevention science degree is 100% online.”

A non-profit American Indian service, training and research organization, AII is a department within OU Outreach. This year, AII celebrates its 60th anniversary.
