Course Description
American business is undergoing rapid changes that must be dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner, in order to survive. Upon completion of this course, students will have an understanding of current issues faced by the leaders and managers and possible solutions to these issues. Students will learn the importance of identification of potential problem areas, researching a topic, framing issues, critical listening skills, the importance of open discussion, writing, communication and decision making. Communications skills will be enhanced through the use of case study discussion and presentation of written assignments. This course uses an interdisciplinary systems approach in class discussions regarding the causes and possible resolutions of these problems. This class is highly experiential and students are expected to participate in group and class activities and discussions.
