Two post-conference workshops will be held on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 25. Workshops will run concurrently so it is not possible to attend both.
Workshop #1 is entitled "Construction Field Methods in WASH". This workshop will focus on hands-on instruction of two types of water well drilling - manual and hydraulic; eco-latrine design and construction; bio-sand filter design and construction; and household-level water treatment. Seating may be limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Workshop #2 will focus on "Social Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Solutions". This workshop aims to arm participants with the framework they need to turn market forces to their advantage. Participants will work through a social entrepreneurship case study with a team of peers while learning the business model canvas. At the WaTER Conference, participants will learn the solutions to the world's water crisis; at the Social Entrepreneurship workshop, they will learn how to make those solutions sustainable. Registration is limited to the first 20 registrants.
Hotel reservations at the conference hotel can be made at NCED Conference Center
