While I was attending the Academy, I learned about and considered many options that I had previously been unaware of. It made me think about my future and helped me reaffirm my desire to become an engineer. I actually plan to attend OU if at all possible. BP helped me a lot over the summer. I'm even thinking of going again next summer.

When asked about engineering I responded by saying, “Why would I want to make cars?” Well, that’s how I answered those types of questions prior to BP Engineering. Now, if one asked that question, I would respond with, “I want to grow up to work as an industrial engineer.” During the camp, I saw first-hand what the engineering field was all about. From chemical engineering to aerospace engineering, I saw all the different disciplines. The experience of meeting professors and engineering students on campus allowed the group and me to see exactly how we can achieve our goals and how to reach them. I hope that BP continues this amazing camp so that others may experience what I did.

BP Engineering camp was great! I had a load of fun learning about all different kinds of engineering that I would be interested in doing and I had bunch of fun doing it with all the cool activities we got to do. I'm really glad BP decided to fund it and give all of us kids such an amazing opportunity.
