Commencement Ambassadors

If you or your student group would like to volunteer as a Commencement Ambassador. Please complete the appropriate application available below. Applications are due by Friday, April 25th and may be submitted via email to lorilee@ou.edu or by placing a hard copy of your application in the application file cabinet located in the Center for Student Life (3rd Floor of the Oklahoma Memorial Union).

International Flag Bearers

As a part of the University-wide Commencement ceremony, international flags representing some of the home countries of faculty, staff and students are presented by international graduation cadndidates as part of the processional and ceremony. International Flag Bearers must report to the Bizzel Memorial Library South entrance by 6:30 p.m. dressed in their academic regalia. International Flag Bearers will help lead the processional into the stadium bearing the flags of some of the countries represented at The University of Oklahoma. They will stand with their flags as the National Anthem is sung. Once the National Anthem has commenced, International Flag Bearers will exit the stage area and return to the graduation candidate seating area. Flags will be distributed on a first come, first served basis and specific flags may not be requested.
