The meeting was called to order at 9:05 a.m.

Approval of Meetings of November ITC Meeting:

The minutes were approved.

Discussion of web page and policies of other universities: Working on email. Deborah suggested putting the minutes of the sub-committee on the web page.

Information Technology offering security training: Have members attend training. Deborah Trytten will send out email. Deborah Trytten expressed the training to be very beneficial.

Report-Outlined Objectives for Teaching and Classroom Technology Subcommittee: See handout

Discussion of Blackberry: A handheld device that you can use Microsoft Outlook with. Fran Ayers said she would look into it.

Security Policy Updates and Changes: Separate the bullet list into three categories instead of two. See handout. Setup has been approved by legal council. Discussion of password sharing and internal auditing. Dan has some ideas. People are responsible for their own account. Concern of password sharing. Motion for policy to be approved, all in favor. Policy passes.

Legal Council: Address the policy issues. Discussion of writing the policy on password sharing.

Email: One of the recommendations is to set up on ITC policy. The process- Faculty, staff and student senate approves it, and then president approves it. Set a timetable.

Mass Mailing: Talking with Information Technology, Mark McClellan is looking at the issues.
