Minutes for the Meeting of October 18, 1996

Members present: R. Dauffenbach, C. Hudgin, B. Mason, J. Moore, L. Portwood, D. Trytten

1. The new Internet upgrade known as Internet II was discussed. The members of the council agreed that it is vital for OU to be involved in such an enterprise if it is to be among the leading research universities in the country.
2. The draft Rights & Responsibilities policy was discussed, amended, and approved by the Council. This policy will be forwarded to the Faculty Senate, Staff Senate, and UOSA for comments and approval.
3. Members should remember that for the rest of this semester, ITC meetings will be held in the conference room of the Graduate College at 1:00 p.m.
