Minutes for the Meeting of April 21, 1997

Members present: B. Dauffenbach, C. Hudgin, B. Mason, L. Portwood, D. Trytten
  1. Bob Dauffenbach reported that there has been 111 faculty surveys returned so far.  Postcards reminding people to return the survey will be sent out next week.
  2. The Web Policy was discussed and a final version completed.  Comments on this policy will be solicited from the ITC and then it will be sent to the administration and representative bodies.
  3. The Acceptable Usage Policy was discussed and suggestions for improved language were made.  Bruce Mason will make the recommended changes and publish the result on the ITC web page for comments.  The final policy will need language regarding administrative access to computer files, similar to the e-mail policy, from Legal Counsel.
  4. The current problems with the OU modem pool were discussed.  There was a disagreement as to whether this is a problem better addressed directly by DCTS or through an external service provider.  The possibility for charging extra for excessive modem use was discussed.
