How Do We Practice Reciprocity with Community Partners? From scholarly activity to reflection, from learning activities to curriculum development, how do we fully leverage the rich learning experiences that happen in the community?
Workshop: Reflecting on Community Work: A Framework for Meaning-Making. Participants will focus on the essentiality of reflection in community-based work. Reflection will be connected to student learning through critical thinking, analytical thinking, and integrative learning. This workshop will provide a framework for reflection in and with community.
Sponsored annually by a consortium of institutions led by Langston University, Oklahoma City University, the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, Redlands Community College, and by Oklahoma Campus Compact, this event features faculty-led scholarly peer-reviewed service-learning presentations, sessions, and a community partners panel. The Oklahoma Service-Learning Conference is a day-long opportunity to present your work and network with colleagues. In keeping with the conference’s founding philosophy of access, there is no cost, but you must register.
