During Your Stay

Where Do You Go First?

The first stop for new students will be University Housing.  The office is located in Walker Tower, Room 126, at 1406 Asp Ave.   You will be given your student ID and you will need to present your DS-2019, I-94 and passport

Students will then check into the Education Abroad Office, located in Beatrice Carr Wallace Old Science Hall, Room 223 to discuss enrollment with the Exchange Student Adviser and any other issues they may have.

Orientation

All new international students are required o participate in Orientation events.  Some of this will be done online within our admissions system for exchange students but there will be events throughout the week that you will be required to attend.  Those events and dates are still being determined.

Friends to International Students

Click here to get more information about Friends to International Students.  This program matches international and exchange students with a "host family" from Norman.  While students do not live with their host family, it is a great way to experience authentic American culture outside of the university setting.

Computer Labs

Numerous free computer labs are strategically located throughout the Norman campus. Each lab features personal computers, printers, and scanners readily available for you to use.

Computer Labs are located at:

Physical Sciences Building (PHSC), Room 230

Dale Hall Tower, Room 105 (Macs Available)

Walker Tower #146

Couch Tower

Felgar Hall #300

Oklahoma Memorial Union

Bizzell Library

All computer labs have laser printing available, and some have copiers available. All computer labs, with the exception of Walker Tower, have dedicated ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) workstations with scanners and supporting software.

Internet

Internet is readily available all across campus and in University housing.  Both wired and wireless internet access is available to OU students.  For more information about internet at OU and how to connect, please visit the OU IT website.
