Degree Options

The OU College of Liberal Studies offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees both online and in the classroom. Our degree programs are designed for working adults who are interested in a high-quality college education.

100% Online

Bachelor's and Master's Degrees

Our online classes are offered in five, eight-week academic sessions throughout the year – two during the fall, two during the spring and one during the summer. Using course-specific websites and a web portal called Desire2Learn, students are able to receive instruction, complete course objectives, and interact with their instructor and classmates in a 100% online environment.

Most of our online classes are split into four, two-week units. For each unit, students will have a brief lesson, reading assignments and a couple of writing exercises. The College of Liberal Studies’ online courses are considered “asynchronous,” meaning that while you may have deadlines for course assignments, you will never need to be online at the same time as your instructor and classmates.

The following bachelor's degree options are available 100% online:

Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Leadership

Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice

Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies

The following master's degree options are available 100% online:

Master of Arts in Administrative Leadership

Master of Prevention Science

Master of Arts in Museum Studies

Master of Arts in Human and Health Services Administration

On-Site

Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Leadership

The on-site option allows students to receive instruction in a traditional classroom setting through evening or weekend classes. Most on-site courses take place one night a week during each of our five, eight-week academic sessions offered throughout the year (two during the fall, two during the spring and one during the summer). This allows students to complete all major requirements for the Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Leadership degree (39 hours) in less than 18 months. The on-site option is currently offered at three locations in Oklahoma:

  • OCCC – Thursday evenings
  • OU-Tulsa – Thursday evenings
  • OU-Norman –Tuesday evenings
