WaTER Center announces first prize recipient
An international symposium brought experts from business, engineering and public health together to talk about providing clean water to developing regions Friday at the University of Oklahoma.
At the symposium, the WaTER Center announced the recipient of the International WaTER Prize: Dr. Stephen P. Luby.
This is the first prize given by the Water Technologies for Emerging Regions Center at OU. The research center at OU is dedicated to helping solve drinking water challenges in impoverished areas.

The five-story, 103,000-square-foot Devon Energy Hall will be home to the School of Computer Science and the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The latest in technological advancement has been implemented in classrooms, team rooms, teaching labs and research space, providing the best for our students of today and tomorrow.

The two-story, 41,000-square-foot ExxonMobil Lawrence G. Rawl Engineering Practice Facility includes 10,000-square-feet that students will use to design and build engineering projects and senior capstone projects and will serve as a showcase to recruit future engineering students.
