Halliburton Women’s Welcome is a program designed to assist incoming female freshman and transfer students transition to the study of engineering and the University of Oklahoma campus. Students will move into the residence halls early and spend quality time with faculty, staff, alumnae, and students from various engineering disciplines in the College of Engineering. Through these interactions, participants will get a jump start on forming unique connections that will ensure their success as engineering students.

* Move into the residence halls early!
* Meet and greet other female students in your same field of study
* Learn about the various disciplines and career opportunities in engineering
* Participate in fun social activities
* Make engineering contacts at the university and in industry
* Become acquainted with campus prior to classes starting
* Get connected with OU and College of Engineering resources

All WOMEN who:
* Have been accepted to OU and will be starting classes in Summer or Fall 2014
* Have declared a major in the College of Engineering or Petroleum Engineering

Women’s Welcome 2014 begins the morning of Wednesday, August 13, and will end just before New Sooner Convocation, which begins at 4:00pm on Thursday, August 14. The participants are strongly encouraged to participate in OU’s Sooner Orientation Weekend activities Thursday, August 15 through Sunday, August 18.


Thanks to our generous sponsor, Halliburton, there is only a $25 registration fee, due with application.

Attendance is not mandatory, but space is limited, so submit your application by June 30, 2014. You will be notified of acceptance via your OU e-mail by July 7, 2014.
