Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art Tours
“Awaken people's curiosity. It is enough to open minds, do not overload them. Put there just a spark.” – Anatole France
A museum docent can lead your group on a tour to see the highlights of the museum’s permanent collection, understand a particular art movement, or guide you through special exhibitions. A variety of tour topics are available. Tours are aimed at OU students, K-12 students, and other groups. Please schedule your docent-guided tour at least two weeks in advance.
New iPod tours, which are available for use in the galleries free of charge, have been produced through a grant from the Albert and Ethel Herzstein Foundation of Houston, Texas. A businessman, entrepreneur and, ultimately, a philanthropist, Albert Herzstein dedicated his later years to the charitable foundation that bears his name and that of his equally generous wife, Ethel.
