Director of Diversity Enrichment Programs
Who knew I would come to the University of Oklahoma after traveling from the small island of Puerto Rico to Claremore, OK and then OU. I decided to attend OU after experiencing the passion and spirit of hospitality from everyone I encountered on my campus visits. As a student at OU I was encouraged to explore the endless possibilities and strive for my dreams. I had the honor of serving prospective students in Camp Crimson, through the Freshman Peer Educator programs, student government and in the Miss Hispanic OU pageant. I have enjoyed the diverse and exciting experiences I have had at the university.
The university culture is one that embraces all cultures and world views. When I say there is truly a place for everyone, it is because I have participated in a wide variety of campus organizations and attest that there is a place for you at OU. During my undergraduate experience I was able to study abroad in “mi patria” or mother country of Puerto Rico. I learned a great deal about myself, my historical roots and marveled at how my classmates and the people of the island fell in love with each other. Diversity is key at OU and I look forward to serving you in your quest to higher education!
