The best way to experience the Sooner tradition and to learn about all that OU offers is to visit our beautiful campus in Norman, Oklahoma. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to meet current OU students and staff, see our state-of-the-art facilities and experience the OU community and spirit. 

Campus tours:

Thank you for your interest in touring the University of Oklahoma! We are excited for you to explore the possibilities that await you at OU. As a campus guest, it is our priority to provide you the most valuable, personalized and informative visit we can. In order to accomplish this, we have limited the size of our campus tours and request that you register in advance. We look forward to serving you on the day of your visit!

Tour are offered:
Monday – Friday:
9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Saturday: 9:30 a.m.

Campus is closed for the following holidays, which are reflected on the campus tour calendar:

General Campus Tour Experience

A campus tour experience begins with an information session in the OU Visitors Center covering material over admissions, scholarships, housing, and more. Afterwards, you will be guided on a ninety-minute walking tour led by a current OU student.

Visitor Resources

Norman, the third-largest city in Oklahoma is just 20 minutes from Oklahoma City, a major metropolitan area. Like OU, Norman provides the best of both worlds with small town community and big city resources. Explore OU visitor resources or have a look at our campus map.

Prospective Student Group Tours

Recruitment Services is excited to offer campus tours for groups of prospective high school and college transfer students. These tours are available to accomodate specialized groups like high school classes or clubs (among others) that may be too large for our regularly scheduled tours. Learn more.

Interested in Graduate School?

The OU Graduate College offers a campus tour specifically geared toward the graduate student. Led by our Graduate College Student Ambassadors, tours can be booked for the individual or a group and can incorporate prospective academic departments. Please email or call 405-325-0797 at least one week in advanced of your campus visit to schedule a tour.

Non-Student Tours

If you would like to schedule a tour and are not a prospective high school student, transfer student or prospective student family member, please visit the OU Visitor Center site for information on booking a special tour.

Aviation Tours

OU offers a Bachelor of Science degree in 4 different aviation concentrations.

Call (405) 325-2151 to arrange your tour of campus and request an appointment with the Department of Aviation, located at the north campus (Westheimer Airport). Your appointment will include a look at our air traffic control simulation lab and our modern aircraft fleet. Additional information may be found at

Price Hall

The Michael F. Price College of Business offers a prospective student tour every Friday at 1 p.m. The meeting place is in Michael F. Price Hall in the Advising Office, suite 1010. Please call (405) 325-2151 at least one week in advance of your campus visit if you wish to take this tour.


Every Monday and Friday, the College of Engineering hosts an information session and tour for future engineers. Call (405) 325-2151 one week in advance to schedule an appointment.

OU offers Bachelors of Science, Masters and Ph.D. degrees in geology and geophysics. Please call (405) 325-3253 to arrange a tour with the ConocoPhillips School of Geology and Geophysics located in Sarkeys Energy Center on OU’s main campus. Additional information can be found here


Every third Friday at 12:30 p.m., a representative from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center will be on the Norman campus to provide information to prospective students interested in health professions. Call (405) 325-2151 to schedule a campus tour and a HSC information session.


Every Monday and Friday at 1 p.m. during the regular academic school year, the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication will offer tours and information sessions for prospective students (except on University holidays). Meeting location: Gaylord Hall, Room 2533. No pre-registration is required. Call (405) 325-2151 for information regarding these opportunities.


The National Weather Center hosts tours every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1 p.m. Advanced sign-up is required. E-mail or call (405) 325-1147 to schedule your tour.

Oil Rig Simulator

Every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., a representative from the Mewbourne School of Petroleum and Geological Engineering offers a tour and information session. Meeting place for the tour is in Sarkeys Energy Center, 12th floor.


The OU College of Architecture offers the following bachelor degrees:

Your appointment will include a tour of Gould Hall with an opportunity to see architecture, interior design and construction student work, tour studios, computer labs, library, and visit with a student or two.
