Graduate Student Welcome Week

The Graduate College and various campus graduate student organizations host an annual Graduate Student Welcome Week at the beginning of every fall semester. Students are especially encouraged to attend the Welcome Reception and Resource Fair, which provides new and current graduate students with a great opportunity to connect with peers and faculty. Also present are Graduate College staff and representatives from other university and community organizations to answer questions and provide information about the many services available on the OU campus and in Norman.

Additional Welcome Week activities are designed to provide assistance to students as they begin a new semester and, for many, acclimate themselves to a new school and community. By attending these events, students will also get the chance to win great prizes. Students that attend all of our tour and orientation sessions will become eligible to win a grand prize!

Please see below for Welcome Week event schedules and program details. Click on each event for more detailed information. Students should register for the events they plan to attend.

The Graduate College looks forward to seeing you at this year's Welcome Week events!

  • Where do I find information?
    • Your OU email - It is imperative that students regularly check their OU email —forwarding their OU email address to a personal email account is not foolproof.

    • What is the GC Bulletin?
    • What is the Graduate Student Handbook?
    • What is the GA Handbook?
  • Who in my academic department assists graduate students?
