Graduate Resident Director
The Resident Director is a half-time (.05) live-in position with a ten or twelve month appointment.
Some of the responsibilities for Resident Director include:
- Assist in providing leadership for 700 to 1,400 students living in a residential housing complex.
- Advise a citation appeals board
- Assist in the advisement of hall government
- Participate in staff selection, training and evaluation
- Help supervise resident check-in and check-out
- Assist with student discipline
- Rotate "on-call" duties for all of housing
- Programming as assigned
- Recruitment of future residents
- Assist with the planning and implementation of staff development
Administrative Resident Director
The Administrative Resident Director is a half-time (.05) live-out position with a ten month appointment. The ARD may be assigned to one of the following areas:
- Assist with the Resident Adviser course
- Assist in advising the Housing Center Student Association
- Assist with weekend programming
