Safety and Security Committee
The Safety and Security Committee was established by the director of Housing and Food Services. The Committee, comprised of staff and students, encourages the university community to point out housing or food services issues, in order to address problems timely and appropriately.
An interactive web request form has been established to facilitate the reporting of these issues or concerns. We urge everyone to report issues to our committee by using this online Safety and Security request form.
As a member of our community, the Safety and Security Committee ask that everyone take an active part in keeping the University of Oklahoma safe and secure.
Missing Student Policy
The purpose of this policy is to define the procedures for the University of Oklahoma’s response to reports of missing students, as required by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008. The policy applies to students who reside in University housing. This includes the residence halls and university-owned apartments. For purposes of this policy, a student may be considered a “missing person” when he or she is absent from the University for more than 24 hours without any known reason.
