Using Your Meal Plan
Meals are used most often at Couch Restaurants, our all-you-care-to-eat restaurant, that is centrally located near the residence halls. Meals typically have a dollar value of $11 when used in Couch Restaurants. Meals reset every Sunday morning at 12:01 a.m., and unused meals do not roll over from week to week.
If you don't want to use a meal at Couch Restaurants, you can use it as a Meal Exchange at one of our other operations. A Meal Exchange has a value of $7.
Meal Exchanges may be used at the following times in the Union:
Monday-Friday: After 2 p.m. at all operations that accept meal exchanges. Including - Starbucks, Sbarro, Wong Key, Chick-Fil-A, Quiznos, Laughing Tomato. Crossroads accepts meal exchanges 24/7.
Saturday and Sunday: Anytime
Meal Exchanges are available during business hours at dining locations located south of Lindsey Street, and at other campus restaurants at select times throughout the day. This means that the following locations offer Meal Exchanges any time they are open: Oliver’s, O’Henry’s, Cucina Italiana, Taco Mayo, Roscoe’s, Raising Cane’s, Amicus Café, Elements, Redbud Café, Flying Cow Café, and Freshens.
Bedrock Café (Sarkeys), Bookmark Café (Bizzell Library), and our HSC locations accept Meal Points, but not Meal Exchanges.
The University Club does not accept Meal Points or Meal Exchanges.
Meal Points are a debit-card system loaded onto your Sooner Card that may be used at all campus dining locations. Each Meal Point equals $1. Each time you use the card, the amount of your purchase is deducted from your balance.
Meal plan points do not roll over from spring to fall semester. It is up to the discretion of the Food Services Director if points will roll over from fall to spring. An announcement will be made in December to let students know either way. If you do not return to Cate, Couch, Walker or Adams Center for the spring semester of your contract, you forfeit your meal plan, including both meals and points.
