The mission for the Center for Middle East Studies is to aid peaceful relations by engaging the minds of the University of Oklahoma's students and professors to help peoples of the world to understand and accept their differences without resorting to violence.

A Board of Advisors consisting of distinguished individuals, respected for their knowledge and involvement in peace promoting activities, provide input and guidance to the Center for Middle East Studies.
