Applications for fall admission are reviewed in February, and offers of admission and financial aid are extended in March. In order to be considered for admission with financial aid, application materials should be received by February 1. Further applications for admission in the fall semester without financial aid will be reviewed May 1st. Applications for admission in the Spring semester are due Sept. 1st.
How to Apply:
1. Fill Out a University of Oklahoma Graduate College Application
2. Fill Out a School of Geology and Geophysics Application
3. Make sure all references have received the webform email notification fand are clear on the deadlines.
4. Request that your GRE scores and transcripts be sent to the School of Geology and Geophysics.
Note: It is very important to make contact with potential advisors as soon as possible. On the Geology and Geophysics application there is a place to indicate potential advisors. This does not obligate you to work with the particular faculty member you indicated on the form, but it does help alert faculty to potential students and allows the admissions committee to know that there is a potential match between student and faculty member.
