Conditions of Sale:
To purchase any goods and/or services on our Site, you must:
- Have a valid account with The Univeristy of Oklahoma, and,
- Be either a currently employed faculty or staff, currently enrolled student at The University of Oklahoma
The IT Store does not grant users the right to purchase, from the website, goods and/or services on behalf of another user irrespective of whether they are affiliated with the University or not.
The products and services offered on the IT Store are intended for your personal use. You may not:
- Use it for commercial purposes
- Resell it to other individuals, groups or commercial establishments
- Modify the products and/or services acquired from the IT Store
- Transfer ownership to someone else
For your convenience, the IT Store offers a variety of payment options. With any method of payment, the charges must be made directly to the person logged in and intending to make the purchase on the IT Store.
The following payment methods are accepted on the IT Store:
Payment methods for Students:
Credit Card: In order for students to charge their credit card, they will have to provide the following information: (i) your name as it appears on the card, (ii) your credit card number, (iii) the credit card type, (iv) the date of expiration and (v) authorization code.
Payment methods for Faculty/Staff:
Credit Card: In order for faculty/staff to charge their credit card, they will have to provide the following information: (i) your name as it appears on the card, (ii) your credit card number, (iii) the credit card type, (iv) the date of expiration and (v) authorization code.
Departmental Account Number: Faculty/staff can charge their departmental account number for orders made on the IT Store.
Credit Card Disclaimer:
The follwing credit cards are accepted on the IT Store: American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
All credit card transactions on the IT Store are conducted over a secure 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL). Apart form the last 4 digits of the credit card number, the IT Store does not store credit card information on our servers and never re-uses it in any manner.
Providing your credit card information during checkout indicates your permission to allow us to place an authorization hold for the amount specified during checkout. This authorization hold will be converted to an actual withdrawal during time of billing.
Out of Stock Items:
The IT Store holds a minimal inventory of only the most popular products. When our inventory of such products gets exhausted, or, for other products that we do not have on inventory, we have to place orders on backorder till the minumum order quantity has been satisfied. This approach is taken to ensure maximum savings is being passed on to you. Backordered items may take up to 30 days for inventory to be replenished.
When you visit the IT Store, make a purchase or send e-mails to IT Store Customer Care, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you at the email address provided by you, or by posting notices on this site. You agree that such electronic communication satisfies any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
The IT Store will only communicate with you at the email address specified by you. The IT Store will send automated confirmation e-mails whenever you make a purchase or request services on the IT Store website. The IT Store Purchase Team will send e-mails to communicate the status of your order or to request more information from you. The IT Store Customer Care Team will reply to your questions sent in e-mail format to email@example.com, or via the online email form. Your email addresses will never be shared, sold or used in ways other than those listed above.
Access to the IT Store is restricted to the following individuals at the University of Oklahoma:
- Currently employed faculty or staff
- Currently enrolled student
You can only use your OUNetID and password to log on to the IT Store. You may not use someone else’s OUNetID and password to gain access to, and/or make purchases from, and/or sign up for services on the IT Store. Cases that reflect the latter will be prosecuted according to privacy and identity infirgement guidelines set by the University of Oklahoma.
Order Delivery and Pickup:
Orders purchased from the IT Store can be picked up from our pickup locations. Depending on your campus, you will be notified where to pick up your order when it becomes available.

Certain products, offered by the IT Store, qualify for shipping. The following terms and conditions will apply when you choose to have such products shipped to you:
- We use FedEx Home Delivery Shipping
- Shipping & Handling charges will vary depending on what you order:
- Software orders will have a flat rate charge of $10
- Hardware orders will have a flat rate charge of $25
- Orders with iMacs will have a shipping charge of $35
- Orders containing hardware and software will have a shipping charge of $25 (or $35 if it has an iMac)
- All the items in your order (that are qualified for shipping) will be shipped together
- You will receive a tracking number via email when your items are shipped
- We cannot ship to PO Boxes
- You may have to pay for additional shipping if your order requires more than one shipping box. In such cases, an IT Store customer care personnel will contact you regarding additional shipping costs.
Software, Hardware and other non-service products on the IT Store:
For products purchased from the IT Store, you will only be billed for your order when the product is available for pick up. If portions of an order are available for immediate pick-up or delivery, we reserve the right to split the order to separate the products that are immediately available from the ones that are backordered. An order will be billed when it has an order status of Product Available for Pickup, Order Completed or Product Available for Download.
Services on the IT Store:
For services purchased on the IT Store, users will receive a billing statement from the respective Billing Department. Billing for services is not handled by the IT Store. For further information regarding billing of a specific service, users may email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will direct you to the concerned billing team.
Collecting Orders, Order Restock and Order Cancellation:
The IT Store sends an email to users notifying them when their order is ready for pickup. The responsibility rests on the user to collect it from the specified pickup location. At this point, the order will qualify for being billed. Orders will be available for 14 business days after which it will be cancelled. A 15% restocking fee will be charged for such cancelled orders. A 15% restocking fee will also be charged for orders cancelled after users have been notified that they are ready for pickup.
Picked up/Delivered Software Refund:
Refunds will only be made for software (picked up or delivered) under the following conditions:
- The software is in its original packing, and,
- The unopened software is returned within 14 days of collecting the order
Since we require users to pick up orders from our delivery locations, we do not offer a refund for lost or damaged products. In case the media is damaged, a copy will be provided to the user free-of-charge. This free-of-charge media replacement will only be done within the first 30 days of collecting the order.
There is no refund for Hardware purchased from the IT Store. Detailed descriptions and pictures are provided for each hardware product (including, at times, references to the manufacturer's product page). We strongly recommend researching these products and contacting us at email@example.com with any questions regarding hardware prior to making a purchase.
Due to the nature of the service, only the following situations will qualify for a refund for software downloaded from the IT Store:
- The user did not download the software from the IT Store, and/or,
- The software did not download or install correctly, and/or,
- The software did not work as indicated on the website
In the case where a refund is issued for software downloaded from the IT Store website, you are required to immediately remove the software from your computer, and sign a compliance form stating the software has been removed.
For services purchased from the IT Store, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org so we can forward your request to the concerned team.
Product and Service License Agreement:
External Partners’ Websites and External Links:
The IT Store contains links to websites on the Internet that are operated by parties other than The University of Oklahoma, Information Technology and the IT Store. We provide access to these links because we believe they contain products and information that may be of interest to our users. Links to our External Partners’ websites provide access to products and services not offered on the IT Store. To provide consistency and aid in a seamless transition, we open these external websites within the IT Store window (using iframes). Such pages are identifiable by an external website disclaimer located above the external website.
The following conditions apply for external websites displayed on the IT Store:
- The IT Store has no control over these websites
- The IT Store is not responsible for the content
- The IT Store is not responsible for the availability of these websites
- Purchases made on external websites are not handled by the IT Store
Downloading Software from the IT Store (Direct Download):
For your convenience, certain software are hosted on our servers and are available for immediate download (either directly or after checkout).
The following conditions apply to software downloaded from the IT Store:
- You cannot distribute the downloaded software to anyone irrespective of whether or not they are a faculty, staff or student at the University of Oklahoma.
- You agree to the refund conditions specified under “Downloaded Software” in the Refund section.
