American College and University Presidents' Climate Commitment

In April 2007, President Boren signed the American College and University Presidents' Climate Commitment, becoming the first institution’s president in Oklahoma to sign the commitment and one of 152 college and university presidents and chancellors who have become charter signatories of the commitment at that time and pledged to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions over time.  Read more about OU's commitment here...


RecycleMania 2010: Recycle Like A Champion


Last year, OU recycled 14.25 pounds per person during the 10-week national competition and benchmarking initiative, RecycleMania. This year, we hope to recycle 18 pounds per person during RecycleMania. Participation is easy! Just recycle your paper, plastic, aluminum and cardboard on campus. We'll do the rest. The Laughing Tomato Hosts Weekly Farmers' Market


The Laughing Tomato in the Oklahoma Memorial Union is now hosting a weekly Farmers' Market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays. They are offering a variety of fresh produce and packaged goods, all supplied by local farmer and vendors. Learn more about the Laughing Tomato and campus dining here....
