Accepted Materials:
We also accept cardboard, toner cartridges, pallets and phonebooks, but these items require special coordination. Old files can also be shredded and recycled upon request. Call Physical Plant's Refuse and Recycling at 405.325.8068 to coordinate.
To order office recycling containers, please e-mail recycling@ou.edu. We'll just need the department name, building, phone number, and desired container size. As resources permit, these are available at no additional cost to your department.
When requesting recycling containers for your office or department, please reference the labeled photos below for container size and type. We have many other containers across campus, but these are the ones available upon request.

Indoor Containers
Here are some of our basic indoor containers. Just send us an e-mail if you
want some for your office or department.

Wall-Mounted Containers
These containers can be found in high traffic areas such as the Oklahoma Memorial Union and first floors of residence halls. They offer pre-sorted categories for paper, plastic, newspaper and aluminum.

Cardboard Trailer
Cardboard trailers are available upon request to be dropped off outside the area in need. Insert the cardboard in the slots provided along the top of the trailer.

96 and 32 Gallon Locking Toter
The 96 and 32 gallon toters are available upon request and come fully equipped with a lock on the top to ensure security. The lock will remain on the container until it reaches the Refuse and Recycling compound, at which point the documents are shredded and recycled.
