Information for Pre-Med and Pre-PA Students

OUSCM Undergraduate Summer Internships

The OU School of Community Medicine located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is offering a Summer Undergraduate Internship for 2014.  The Internship will give participants an opportunity to experience community medicine through lectures, experiential learning, clinical shadowing, research projects, site visits, High School student mentoring and interaction with current medical students, faculty and staff. 
The Undergraduate Experience is 6 week full time internship June 16-July 25 (with the option of a 7th week for the OUSCM Summer Institute).  Interns who successfully complete the program will receive a $500 cash award to be used for future educational expenses (at OU or other institutions).  
The OUSCM Summer Undergraduate Internship Program is taking applications from current undergraduate students who have will completed at least their freshman year of college.   Please complete the online application here and submit a resume/cv and letter of recommendation from a faculty member to Meredith Talley by Monday, March 31.   Applicants will be notified by mid April if they are chosen to participate.

OUSCM Information Session
The OU School of Community Medicine hosts Information Sessions several times a year for students interested in pursuing a MD or PA degree. 


The next OUSCM Information Session will be November 12 from 4:00pm-6:00pm in the OU-Tulsa Learning Center.
