Mission Statement

This mission of OUTSGA is to enhance students' experiences and enable them to gain the most they can from their university education by providing opportunities for each student wishing to participate in activities and programs that contribute to the development of the OU-Tulsa community.

Meetings

Student Government Association (SGA) meeting dates are on the first Wednesday of the following months: September, October, November, December, February, March, and April at 5:30 p.m.s in room 1D18 on the OU-Tulsa Schusterman Center campus.

President

Devon Morris is a student in the family nurse practitioner program. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Oklahoma State University before completing his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from OU-Tulsa. He has been actively involved with the OU-Tulsa Student Government Association for the past 4 years and is honored to serve as President this year. Devon had the opportunity to serve as president for the OU Student Nurses Association (OUSNA), as well as the Oklahoma Nursing Student Association, where he currently serves as a consultant for the board of directors. Additionally, Devon works for OU Physicians in the Health @ Work program. When he is not studying, he enjoys training for his next marathon and volunteering at free medical clinics across eastern Oklahoma. Devon is incredibly excited about OU-Tulsa Student Government this year and would like to remind all OU-Tulsa students that the OUTSGA officers are here to serve you, so if there is anything they can do to make your experience at OU-Tulsa even better, please let him know.

Vice President

Sarah Wulfers is in the pediatric nurse practitioner program and is the founding president of OU – Tulsa Nurse Practitioner Student Association. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from OU – Tulsa in 2011. During her undergraduate studies, Sarah was actively involved with both CONSA and OUSNA leadership. She currently works at Saint Francis Hospital and OU Physicians for the Health @ Work program. Please contact her with any questions regarding OUTSGA and she hopes all of her fellow OU-Tulsa students have another great Sooner year!

Treasurer

Brice Harader-Pate is family nurse practitioner student at OU-Tulsa. Prior to being in the nurse practitioner program, Brice graduated with special distinction from the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in 2011. Brice has also obtained a Bachelors of Science in organismic biology from NSU in 2007. Brice currently works at St. Francis Trauma Emergency Center as a Certified Emergency Nurse and a Charge Capture Specialist.

Secretary

Christopher Webber is a student in the OU Family Nurse Practitioner program and will graduate in May 2015. He completed nursing school at East Central University in 2009. Since that time, Christopher has worked as a registered nurse in critical care and interventional radiology. He is currently employed at Saint Francis Hospital in interventional radiology and at Hillcrest Hospital South in the intensive care unit. Christopher is looking forward to serving the students at OU Tulsa and is always open to input regarding student activities on campus.  Boomer Sooner!
