How to make a UC Action Tutoring Appointment

Besides our UC Action drop-in sessions and instant iPad tutoring, we also offer some small-group, by-appointment sessions with our trained, undergraduate Peer Learning Assistants.

  • Search and book your appointment online at http://tutor.ou.edu (details below).
  • Come by our offices: The Student Learning Center main office is Wagner Hall 245, and our satellite office, the Housing Learning Center, is Adams Center Residence Halls, Muldrow Tower 105.
  • Give us a call: 405.325.7621 (Mon-Thur 8am-1am, Fri 8am-5pm) or 405.325.2HLC (Sun-Thur 3-10pm).

  2. Search under "Wagner_Learning_Center" and then "Housing_Learning_Center" for the course(s) you need.
  3. The results will show any openings between 24 hours and 21 days in advance. Sessions are in 1-hour blocks, and are capped at 6 students.
  4. Click on the session you wish to attend, add any notes you want the Peer Learning Assistant to see, and click on "Save."
  5. You'll get an email from studentlearning@ou.edu confirming date/time/location information, then you'll get an email reminder the day before the appointment.
  6. Show up to the appointment ready to learn, ready to work with others, and with questions. Sign in at the front desk, and get to work!
  7. If you need to cancel, you can do so at tutor.ou.edu if more than 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, call or visit one of our offices and let the staff know. You should receive a cancellation email. If you cancel too close to the appointment time more than three times, your booking privileges may be revoked.
